Abstract

Management is very important in all aspects, so with the management can help to facilitate a job in achieving the planned organizational goals. The purpose of the study was to determine the role of counselors in managing the BK program at SMK Prapanca 1 Surabaya. The method used is descriptive qualitative, data was taken by conducting interviews and observations. This study uses a qualitative descriptive design approach by conducting interviews with guidance and counseling teachers at SMK Prapanca 1 Surabaya. Based on the results of the study, BK teachers have tried to play an active role in managing guidance and counseling programs in schools with existing limitations. It is expected that BK teachers will be able to optimize guidance and counseling services by planning a comprehensive guidance and counseling program transition.
