Abstract

Discipline is defined as obedience to the rules. Before discipline needs to be applied there are rules or regulations that must be made first. Many students violate the rules or regulations that apply at school, both intentionally and unintentionally, such as being late for school, truant during class hours, littering, not wearing full attributes, leaving class/school prematurely, and so on. This disobedience makes students accustomed to breaking the rules at school, so for that students must be disciplined against the rules at school. Given the importance of discipline in schools for students, the researchers see the need for assistance in the form of role playing techniques. The purpose of this paper is the application of role playing to increase students' understanding of the importance of discipline in obeying the rules or regulations that are in school. This research technique uses experimental research techniques with a pre-experimental design. It is said to be "pre-experimental because in this study the design used was not really experimental. It was concluded that the role playing technique can change student behavior from frequently violating the rules or regulations in school to being obedient and obeying the rules and regulations at school.
