The 5E Learning Cycle model consists of five stages: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate, aiming to build students’ conceptual understanding through active and systematic learning experiences. This approach encourages optimal student engagement in the learning process, particularly in science subjects. Differentiated instruction, which tailors methods and media to students’ characteristics such as learning styles and abilities, further enhances the model's effectiveness. In the course of discussion, literature reviews reveal that the integration of the 5E model and learning motivation significantly improves student learning outcomes. Strong learning motivation, whether intrinsic or influenced by external factors, plays a crucial role in achieving optimal learning outcomes across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Therefore, it is essential for teachers to design instruction that is not only innovative but also motivationally supportive to create meaningful and impactful learning experiences.
