The era digital technology has impacted students in searching, obtaining, and processing information, including in the context of discussions in learning activities. One emerging phenomenon is the use of querying, namely the habit of searching for information by Googling or browsing the internet to find and obtain questions or answers instantly that need to be conveyed during discussions. Problems of querying behavior include: superficiality of information, copy-paste mentality, low internalization of knowledge. These problems have a negative impact on the development of creativity and critical thinking skills, as well as the meaning in the learning process. Alternative solutions that can be done include building a safe and supportive environment so that students feel comfortable to ask questions, providing explicit training in questioning skills, using a variety of discussion techniques, encouraging open-ended questions that stimulate in-depth discussions, actively involving all students, with a turn-based system, role assignments, or gamification, the use of argumentative rubrics. To increase the effectiveness and efficiency of using the discussion method in learning that has been commonly used so far, this can be done by reorienting actions through the use of various strategies, especially to overcome the problem of querying behavior
