Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the effect of using the nature learning method on the free poetry writing skills of class X MA Hasan Muchyi Pagu students in the 2023/2024 academic year. This research uses a quantitative approach, namely an experimental research design. The research participants consisted of students from class X-B who were included in the experimental group, and students from class X-C who were included in the control group. The data collection approach used in this research is a written test method, namely a poetry writing test. The data analysis approach used includes descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics using the t test. Before carrying out the t test, the data normality test and homogeneity test are first carried out. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that: (1) class X MA Hasan Muchy Pagu students have not achieved optimal ability in writing free poetry without using the nature learning method. This can be seen from the average score achieved by students who obtained an average score of 74.84, slightly below the minimum completeness score (KKM) of 75. (2) The skill of writing free poetry using the nature learning method is classified as achievable. for class X MA Hasan Muchy Pagu students. This is shown by the statistics of the average score achieved by students who obtained an average score of 81.41, exceeding the minimum completeness score (KKM) of 75. (3) The nature learning learning method influences the development of students' free poetry writing skills. class X student MA Hasan Muchyi Pagu. This can be seen from its significance value. The p value of 0.000 is less than 0.05, which indicates statistical significance. This can be seen from the sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05 and the t-count value is 3.751 ˃ t-table = 2.000, namely with df 62.
