Holland's career theory is one of the most influential approaches to understanding the relationship between individual personality and work environment. This article analyzes the role of Holland's theory in supporting career guidance and counseling, particularly through the RIASEC concept (Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, Conventional). Holland argues that individuals tend to seek work environments that reflect their personalities, where such congruence contributes to increased job satisfaction, productivity, and career stability. This study employs a literature review method by analyzing relevant academic sources, including journal articles, books, and supporting documents. Data analysis techniques include content analysis to identify patterns and trends in research, literature evaluation to assess the validity and relevance of Holland's theory, and concept mapping to link the theory to career guidance and counseling practices. By evaluating the congruence between personality and work environment, career counseling can become more effective in helping individuals realize their full potential. Furthermore, this article highlights the importance of considering social, cultural, and economic factors in the application of Holland's theory to provide a more holistic understanding of career development.
