Abstract

This study was motivated by the results of the researcher's observation that there were still many bullying behaviors. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of group discussion techniques to improve students' understanding of bullying behavior. This study used a quantitative experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample was given a test to measure students' understanding of bullying behavior with the treatment of group discussion techniques. The data analysis technique applied in this study was descriptive and inferential, with a paired t-test and N Gain acquisition. The results showed a pretest value of 54.3 and a posttest of 86.4 so that there was an increase in students' understanding after being given treatment. The N-Gain value was recorded at 67.155% which showed a fairly good level of effectiveness. In addition, the p value = 0.000 <0.05 which means significant. so that it can prove that group discussion techniques are effective in improving the understanding of class X students about bullying behavior at SMKN 2 Kediri City
