Abstract
This research is based on the tendency of procrastination behavior that is happening in students who are compiling and guiding the thesis process, generally the behavior that arises is due to fear of meeting the supervisor, studying while working, lack of motivation to work on the thesis, feeling afraid of being wrong. Procrastination is the tendency to give up, delay, or avoid completing activities that should be done. This study was conducted to describe academic procrastination behavior in final year students at the Department of Guidance and Counseling, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technique in this research is interview. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman method: Data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the research, it can be said that the final year students of the 2018-2019 batch experience procrastination behavior known by some of the characteristics of procrastination behavior that exist in them, but the four subjects have some differences in their respective descriptions of procrastination behavior.
