Abstract

The era of globalization has had a major impact on Guidance and Counseling (BK) services in the world of education. Technological changes allow BK services to be faster and easier, but also give rise to challenges such as an identity crisis, the erosion of local wisdom values, and increasing individualism. This article aims to explain the importance of improving the quality of local wisdom-based guidance and counseling services as a solution to facing these challenges. With a local wisdom-based approach, BK services can help the younger generation understand and preserve traditional cultural values, while creating strong character and good morals. The method used in this article is a literature study from various related references. This article recommends the integration of local wisdom values ​​through relevant BK service programs and collaboration with traditional leaders to create the nation's next generation who respect culture and are ready to face global challenges.
