Abstract

Discipline is an important aspect in the formation of student character and the success of the educational process. Good discipline will create an orderly and conducive learning atmosphere. However, disciplinary issues remain a challenge faced by schools. Various forms of violations are still found, such as tardiness, mismatched attributes, truancy, and other violations. Therefore, appropriate strategies are needed to enforce student discipline. This study aims to describe preventive and curative strategies in enforcing student discipline and collaboration in their implementation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data in the study were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation, which were then analyzed using data condensation techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that preventive strategies are implemented through habituation activities, role models, and supervision. Curative strategies are implemented through awareness raising, the provision of educational sanctions, and the provision of appreciation. In addition, enforcement of discipline is also supported by collaboration with various school parties.
