Abstract

This research was motivated by the results of observations at the Pare District Religious Affairs Office (KUA), showing that the readiness required by prospective bridal couples was fulfilled. Meanwhile, the problems that have been discovered at the KUA are several married couples from the Pare area who are suing for divorce in the religious court. Therefore, researchers took the initiative to conduct research regarding the readiness of prospective bridal couples.The aim of this research is to find out how prepared prospective bridal couples are in Pare District. The method in this research uses qualitative research methods. There are 10 primary subjects, including LKA & S, NO & KMPR, DYF & AFS, MSP & ARA, NMS & ADF and there is 1 secondary subject, namely the head of KUA. The instruments used were interviews and documentation.The results of the research show that almost all prospective bridal couples have high readiness. The visible readiness of the prospective bridal couple includes personality, financial and social. The readiness of the prospective bridal couple is high. Based on the conclusions of the research results, the recommended advice for prospective married couples is to prepare themselves thoroughly. For future researchers, the third research is more mastery by going directly into the field, paying attention to socio-cultural aspects and KUA policies.
