Abstract
The phenomenon of "Marriage is Scary" reflects the growing fear and apprehension toward marriage in contemporary society. This study aims to explore this perception from religious, emotional, and socio-cultural perspectives, as well as the factors influencing it. The method employed is literature review, analyzing various sources related to marriage in modern society. The findings show that fear of marriage is influenced by religious factors demanding high expectations, emotional factors related to trauma or commitment uncertainty, and socio-cultural pressures that push individuals to marry at a certain age. Additionally, economic factors and the influence of social media play significant roles in fostering fear of marriage. In conclusion, this phenomenon reflects the complexity of perceptions toward marriage, shaped by multiple factors. A more realistic approach and social support are needed to address these fears. Further research is necessary to understand this dynamic more deeply.
