Abstract

This study aims to determine the resilience level of high school youth in East Java during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The subjects in this study were high school students throughout East Java, totaling 540 students, the selection of subjects was done randomly. The instrument in this study was the failure of the resilience questionnaire during the pandemic which was developed by the researcher himself. The resilience questionnaire has been tested for validity and reliability with the results of the validity and reliability values ​​being 0.88. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical technique. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that as many as 7 adolescents (1.3%) were in the low category, as many as 349 adolescents (65.4%) were in the medium category, and 184 adolescents (34%) were in the high category. Based on the results of the study, it can be said that most of the high school youth resilience levels are in the medium category. The results of the study provide an overview of the need for further handling related to the development and handling of adolescent resilience.
