Pengembangan Media Boneka Jari Materi Dongeng Fabel Siswa Kelas II SD Negeri Gedangsewu 1

The results of observations of Indonesian language learning activities in class II at
SD Negeri Gedangsewu 1 where in learning teacher uses teaching materials in the
form of student books containing picture illustrasions. The teacher uses the lecture
method which makes students less active because students only listen to the
explanation in silence, this means that students do not fully understand the material
presented. The aim of this research and development is to help students
understand fabels material easily by using finger puppets. The methode used in this
research is the Borg and Gall Research and Development (R&D) method. The
results of this research and development show that the validity of media experts
and material experts is in the very valid category, with an average score 94,38%.
The practicality of the teacher’s responden obtained 98%, then the results of
students response in the limited trial obtained a score of 87,69%, and in the board
test it obtained 89% in very practical category. The effectiveness of finger puppets
media inteh post-test of extensive trials obtained and average of 94,05% in the very
effective category. It can be conclude that the finger puppets media with fable fairy
tale material is declared valid, practical and effective.
