Traditional games are a type of game in a particular area that is based on the culture of the area. Jumping rope and squat style jump games as a medium to stimulate the formation of individual body muscles can increase strength and speed and will increase skills when doing more dynamic jumps, especially gross motor skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of jumping rope on gross motor skills in children. This research method is measured by how far the squat style jump is after playing the jump rope game. This study is an experimental study with the design used is one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were children aged 7-10 years. The results showed a difference of 2 to 10 cm before and after treatment. So it can be concluded that there is a significant increase between jumping rope and squat style games in the development of children's gross motor skills.
