Kesenian Tradisional Jedor di Era Modern dalam Melestarikan Budaya di Mulyasari Pagerwojo Tulungagung
Main Article Content
Abstract
Traditional arts play an important role in maintaining cultural values and local identity in the midst of globalization. This art is not only considered a static cultural heritage, but also a dynamic asset that is able to adapt to the times. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method to reveal the challenges of preserving jedor art in Mulyosari Village, Pagerwojo District, Tulungagung Regency. The results of observations and interviews with the head of the jedor group “Sido Rukun” show the lack of participation of the younger generation, with the majority of members over 30 years old, and the lack of support from the village government in the form of cultural preservation programs or facilities. This condition threatens the sustainability of jedor art in the future. As a solution, the use of digital technology is a strategic step to involve the younger generation and ensure the art of jedor remains relevant in the modern era.
