Peran Strategis Pendidikan Karakter dalam Pembentukan Moral Pelajar

Abstract

Character development plays an important role in the development of students' morals, discipline, and sense of responsibility. This article aims to discuss the importance of character education in producing ethical and disciplined individuals who are capable of feeling empathy. Likewise, students' moral development is carried out through collaboration between family, school, and the social environment, along with instilling values ​​such as honesty, tolerance, cooperation, and respect. This article also focuses on several challenges related to the practice of character education in educational settings and effective steps that can be used to overcome these challenges, including increasing the role of teachers and integrating character values ​​in the curriculum. In this article, the author uses a literature study method or conducts a study of various journals and other scientific works related to the topic raised. This analysis confirms that more social education or character education should be given to children so that they grow up to be not only highly educated but also have strong characters that will enable them to face the challenges of globalization
