One of the factors presumed to be related to students’ conceptual
understanding is creative thinking ability, as students with high
creativity tend to connect ideas and interpret concepts more
meaningfully. This study aims to analyze the correlation between
creative thinking ability and students’ conceptual understanding in
biology through the implementation of the Project-Based Learning
(PjBL) model supported by the miro application. This quantitative
research employed a correlational approach involving 72 students
from classes XI-1 and XI-3 at SMA Negeri 3 Jember. Data were
collected using a creative thinking ability test and a biology
conceptual understanding test after the implementation of PjBL. The
data were analyzed using correlation and simple linear regression
tests. The results revealed a significant relationship between creative
thinking ability and students’ conceptual understanding (p = 0.031)
with a contribution of 6.5%, while 93.5% was influenced by other
factors beyond this study. These findings suggest that students with
higher creative thinking ability tend to achieve a better understanding
of biological concepts. Implementing PjBL integrated with Miro
supports collaborative learning and fosters deeper conceptual
understanding through creative and contextual learning activities.
