Abstract

This article discusses the effect of using self-management techniques in group counseling on student discipline at SMK Negeri 2 Malang. The research methods used were pretest and post-test to observe changes in student discipline before and after intervention using self-management techniques. The collected data were statistically analyzed to identify the impact of the intervention. The results showed a significant improvement in student discipline after the intervention. Students show improvements in timely attendance,  adherence to school rules, completion  of assignments,  and more regular  behavior.  This indicates  that  the use of  self- management techniques can have a positive effect on student discipline at SMK Negeri 2 Malang. These findings suggest that this technique can be an effective strategy in improving student discipline in schools. The study underscores the importance of a holistic counselling approach in developing students' self- management skills and stimulating more organized and disciplined behavior. Further research can be conducted to explore other factors that influence student discipline and develop a broader approach in school counseling.
