Perancangan Instalasi Pompa Doubel Inlate Pada Mesin Pencuci Piring Otomatis

Latar belakang penelitian difokuskan pada perancangan dan peningkatan instalasi pompa double inlet pada mesin pencuci piring otomatis berkapasitas 175 liter, dengan tujuan meningkatkan efisiensi proses pencucian untuk keperluan rumah tangga dan pelaku UMKM. Mesin ini mengandalkan pompa sentrifugal yang memiliki tingkat efisiensi tinggi dan mampu menghasilkan tekanan air yang optimal. Proses perancangan mencakup tahapan observasi lapangan, studi literatur, pengembangan desain teknis, pengujian alat, serta validasi oleh pakar teknik mesin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem pompa doubel inlet dapat mendistribusikan air dan deterjen secara merata melalui water spray arm, sehingga proses pencucian menjadi lebih bersih, hemat penggunaan air, dan efisien. Berdasarkan hasil perancangan, laju aliran air mencapai 13,56 liter per menit dengan tekanan keseluruhan sebesar 42,39 kPa, yang masih dalam kemampuan operasional pompa tersebut. Pemakaian selang 12 mm dinilai lebih efektif dalam meminimalkan kehilangan tekanan akibat gesekan. Inovasi ini dianggap cocok untuk digunakan dalam skala rumah tangga maupun usaha kecil seperti rumah makan dan angkringan karena dapat menghemat air, waktu, serta biaya operasional.
