Perancangan Aplikasi Mobile Untuk Sistem Diagnosis Penyakit Tanaman Jagung (Zea Mays L.)

Jagung (Zea Mays L.) adalah tanaman pangan yang menjadi salah satu bahan makanan pokok di Indonesia. Salah satu area penghasil jagung di Jawa Timur adalah Kabupaten Nganjuk dengan luas area hingga 28.000 hektar. Jumlah produktivitas jagung selalu mengalami fluktuasi karena pengaruh jumlah penawaran dan permintaan yang terus berubah. Tingginya permintaan jagung di pasar domestic menjadi peluang bagi Indonesia untuk menyeimbangkan pasokan dan permintaan jagung. Namun tumbuhan jagung berpotensi terserang serbuan hama atapun penyakit, tiga jenis penyakit utama tanaman jagung yaitu penyakit bulai ( peronosclerospora maydis, P. philippinensis, dan P.sorghi), penyakit bercak daun jagung (Bipolaris maydis), dan penyakit karat (Puccinia polysora). Pada aplikasi kali ini akan dirancang sebuah sistem untuk menentukan jenis penyakit pada tanaman jagung, penulis menerapkan metode pengolahan citra digital untuk mengidentifikasi penyakit pada tanaman jagung.
