Penilaian untuk pemilihan siswa terbaik biasanya masih dilakukan secara subyektif dan manual. Kurangnya sistem proses pengambilan keputusan formal ini dapat menjadi masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan sistem pendukung keputusan pemilihan siswa terbaik dengan menerapkan metode penelitian profile matching. Dengan menentukan beberapa kriteria yang sudah ditentukan oleh SMPN 2 Kedungwaru Tulungagung meliputi kriteria Akademik, Non Akademik, Perilaku, Kerapian, Kedisiplinan ada beberapa permasalahan pada sistem pendukung keputusan sebelum dikembangkan yaitu proses pengolahan data siswa memakan waktu lama, kesulitanya pegawai untuk memilih siswa terbaik. manfaat sistem pendukung kep utusan terbaik ini adalah mempersingkat waktu. Hasil akhir yang diperoleh dari penelitian Sistem pendukung keputusan ini adalah aplikasi berbasis web yang dapat membantu proses pemilihan siswa terbaik yang diketahui berdasarkan nilai ranking yang menentukan nilai total tertinggi. Dan menempatkannya pada peringkat pertama dalam urutan siswa terbaik melalui metode profile matching. Aplikasi sistem pendukung keputusan pemilihan siswa terbaik telah sesuai dengan spesifikasi kebutuhan fungsional yang diharapkan, hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan berdasarkan nilai ranking siswa terbaik dengan Nisn 3147 dengan skor nilai total terbesar yaitu 4,6 .
