PERANCANGAN TURBIN UAP SUDU IMPULS SATU TINGKAT UNTUK PENGGERAK MESIN PENYARING SARI TAHU

Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang turbin uap sudu impuls satu tingkat sebagai penggerak mesin penyaring sari tahu dengan memanfaatkan uap dari proses pemasakan kedelai. Metode perancangan dilakukan secara numerik berdasarkan pendekatan termodinamika dan mekanika fluida, meliputi perhitungan volume spesifik, densitas uap, kecepatan aliran, laju massa, daya turbin, kecepatan tepi sudu, whirl velocity, dan sudut masuk uap. Hasil perancangan menunjukkan bahwa turbin mampu menghasilkan daya sebesar 208 watt, dengan putaran target 1000 RPM, pada pengujian aktual dapat menghasilkan putaran maksimum 7619 RPM dan torsi sebesar 1,98 Nm, serta sudut masuk uap sebesar 31,5°. Turbin dirancang dengan struktur kompak, menggunakan nozzle konvergen dan cakram berdiameter optimal, sehingga cocok diterapkan di industri pengolahan tahu skala kecil hingga menengah sebagai solusi hemat energi yang efisien dan ramah lingkungan.
