Pengembangan mesin chopper dan mixer pakan kapasitas 200 kg/jam memerlukan sistem transmisi yang mampu mentransfer daya secara efisien. Penelitian ini merancang sistem transmisi menggunakan pulley, v-belt tipe B, dan gearbox dengan rasio 1:30. Puli daya berdiameter 100 mm, puli penghubung 127 mm, dan input gearbox 304,8 mm. Rasio puli 1:1,27 menghasilkan putaran 1.732 rpm; diteruskan ke pencacah dengan rasio 1:1, dan ke gearbox dengan rasio 1:4 menjadi 433 rpm, lalu diturunkan menjadi 14,4 rpm pada mixer. Torsi maksimum tercatat pada poros pengaduk sebesar 2.606.916,36 kg/mm², untuk tegangan geser semua poros 4,83 kg/mm². Umur bantalan tertinggi 60,998 jam (penghubung), terendah 1,810 jam (chopper). Hasil ini menjadi dasar desain sistem transmisi yang optimal.
