PERANCANGAN MATA PISAU PEMOTONG DAN PENCACAH PADA MESIN CHOPPER

Pemberian pakan ternak, khususnya sapi masih banyak dilakukan secara manual oleh pertenak tradisional, untuk meningkatkan keefisiensi dan kualitas pencacah pakan. Dirancang mata pisau baru pada mesin chopper, perancangan ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis kebutuhan pengguna, studi literatur, dan pengujian langsung. Mata pisau dibuat dari baja karbon ASTM A36 dengan model pisau palang berjumlah 4 (empat) buat. Mesin dirancang unutuk menghasilkan potongan rumput gajah,dan bonggol jagung sepanjang 4 mm dengan kapasitas 200kg/jam, membutuhkan putaran mesin sebesar 375 rpm, hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa mata pisau bekerja secara optimal dan menghasilkan cacahan yang sesuai diharapkan,inovasi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan produktivitas peternak dalam pemberian pakan ternak.
