Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dari pengamatan peneliti, bahwa buah apel memiliki bentuk dan warna yang berbeda, setiap buah apel mempunyai bentuk dan warna yang hampir sama, hal ini biasanya membuat bingung orang-orang awam yang akan mengidentifikasi jenis buah apel. Permasalahan peneliti adalah bagaimana merancang sistem identifikasi jenis buah apel, bagaimana mengimplementasikan metode Template Matching agar dapat mengidentifikasi jenis buah apel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Template Matching sebagai perhitungan warnanya, menggunakan Proses Image Processing. Proses tersebut meliputi grayscale pada Image.Pengujian pada skenario dari data training dan data testing. Dari hasil pengujian yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa identifikasi menggunakan metode Template Matching dapat digunakan untuk identifikasi citra buah apel namun memiliki kelemahan dalam tingkat akurasi.
