Rancang Bangun Alat Powder Coating Skala UMKM

Abstrak— Perkembangan industri otomotif dan manufaktur logam menuntut proses pelapisan permukaan yang mampu memberikan perlindungan sekaligus meningkatkan nilai estetika produk. Namun, penerapan teknologi powder coating pada usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah masih terbatas karena tingginya biaya investasi peralatan komersial. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan membangun alat powder coating skala UMKM yang sederhana, ekonomis, dan mudah dioperasikan. Metode penelitian meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan, perancangan alat, pemilihan komponen, proses fabrikasi dan perakitan, serta pengujian kinerja alat pada proses pelapisan dan curing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alat yang dikembangkan mampu mendukung proses powder coating dengan baik dan menghasilkan lapisan yang merata pada permukaan logam dengan pengaturan suhu yang sesuai. Pengembangan alat ini memberikan alternatif teknologi pelapisan yang lebih terjangkau bagi UMKM serta mendukung peningkatan kualitas produk dan efisiensi proses produksi.
