PERANCANGAN SISTEM TRANSMISI PADA MESIN CHOPPER KOMBINASI MIXER DAN PENCETAK PELLET

peningkatan produksi nanas di indonesia menghasilkan limbah batang dan daun nanas dalam jumlah besar dan belum di manfaatkann secara optimal. Dikelopok ternak Sempulur , Kecamatan Ngancar Kabupaten Kediri, limbah nanas tersebut telah digunakan sebagai pakan ternak dalam bentuk cacahan, namun memiliki kelemahan ukuran tidak seragam umur simpan yang lebih pendek, dan penurunan pelatabilitas akibat kelayuan bahan pakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sisitem transmisi pada mesin kombinasi chopper,miser dan pencetak pellet untuk mengolah limbah batang dan daun nanas menjadi pakan dalam bentuk pellet. Penelitian menggunakan metode perancangan (design research) melalui tahap observasi, studi literatur, perancangan sistem transmisi, perhitungan elemen mesin, fabrikasi, dan uji coba produk. Hasil perancangan tersebut menghasilkan sistem transmisi terintegrasi yang menggunakan motor yang menyalurkan daya ke tiga mesin tersebut sesuai kebutuhan putaran dan torsi masing-masing. Sistem transmisi dirancang sehingga mampu mendukung proses pengolahan limbah nanas menjadi pakan pellet secara efektif dan efisien.
