The Role of the Traditional Game Gobak Sodor in Improving Self-Esteem in Adolescent Students

This article aims to examine the role of the traditional game of gobak sodor in improving self-esteem in adolescent students through a literature study. The method used is qualitative with a literature study approach from various relevant scientific sources. The results of the study indicate that self-esteem in adolescents is influenced by self-assessment and the social environment, so that low self-esteem can impact students' academic, social, and emotional aspects. The game of gobak sodor contains values of cooperation, communication, responsibility, discipline, and courage that have the potential to support the improvement of student self-esteem . In conclusion, gobak sodor can be integrated into guidance and counseling services as an effective medium to improve student self-esteem
