Optimasi Produksi Bioetanol Menggunakan Mikroalga untuk Meningkatkan Keberlanjutan Energi Hijau

Produksi bioetanol sebagai alternatif energi terbarukan semakin penting untuk mendukung keberlanjutan energi hijau. Namun, proses produksi bioetanol dari bahan baku konvensional masih menghadapi tantangan terkait efisiensi dan dampak lingkungan. Mikroalga, seperti Chlorella vulgaris dan Spirulina platensis, menawarkan potensi sebagai sumber karbohidrat untuk bioetanol, namun optimasi produksinya masih diperlukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimasi produksi bioetanol menggunakan kedua mikroalga tersebut melalui simulasi perhitungan biomassa, kandungan karbohidrat, dan potensi bioetanol selama 100 hari. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa Chlorella menghasilkan biomassa 500 g/L dan potensi bioetanol 63.75 g/L pada hari ke-100, sedangkan Spirulina menghasilkan biomassa 400 g/L dan potensi bioetanol 40.80 g/L. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan penting tentang potensi mikroalga sebagai solusi energi hijau yang ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan, serta membuka peluang untuk penelitian lanjutan dalam mengoptimalkan proses produksi bioetanol dengan variabel lingkungan yang lebih beragam dan skala yang lebih besar.
