Abstract

Asam giberelat (GA3) merupakan fitohormon yang mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tumbuhan. GA3 merupakan komponen dominan dalam kompleks enzim giberelin dan dapat diisolasi dari jamur. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi waktu inkubasi dan agitasi optimum pada Aspergillus sp.II RTA asal tanah gambut Riau terhadap produksi GA3. Inokulum ditumbuhkan pada medium Czapek Dox Broth (CDB) secara fermentasi bawah permukaan. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial dengan perlakuan waktu inkubasi (5, 7, 9 hari) dan pemberian agitasi serta non agitasi. Jumlah GA3 yang dihasilkan diukur menggunakan spektrofotometri. Kondisi optimum produksi asam giberelat adalah pada kondisi agitasi dengan waktu inkubasi 7 hari yaitu 6,725 g L-1. Produksi asam giberelat berkorelasi negatif dengan pH akhir medium fermentasi.
