Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to education, sports, and industry. In this context, roller sports have the potential to be developed not only as a form of physical activity and sports achievement development but also as part of an educational and sports industry ecosystem based on local wisdom. Indonesia possesses rich cultural values and local wisdom, including mutual cooperation, solidarity, discipline, creativity, sportsmanship, and environmental awareness, which can be integrated into education and roller sports development. This paper aims to analyze the potential integration of local wisdom, education, and the roller sports industry in supporting sustainable economic growth in the digital era. This study employs a conceptual review approach by examining the concepts of education, local wisdom, sports industry, entrepreneurship, digitalization, and sustainable economic development. The findings indicate that roller sports can serve as a bridge connecting educational institutions, communities, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the sports industry, and society. The use of digital technology can expand the marketing of sports-related products and services, improve event promotion, develop students' competencies, and broaden sports community networks. The development of a local wisdom-based roller sports ecosystem can be directed through a Local Wisdom–Education–Digital–Industry model that integrates sports education, community empowerment, product innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital marketing. This model has the potential to contribute to human resource development, strengthening local economies, preserving cultural values, and promoting sustainable economic growth.
