Abstract
Bimbingan dan konseling sangat diperlukan disekolah, terutama pada tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Konselor (Guru BK) harus membantu memandirikan karena banyak siswa yang membutuhkan layanan Bimbingan dan konseling (BK) baik untuk konsultasi, mencari informasi perguruan tinggi, konseling mengenai permasalahan pribadi, sosial, belajar maupun karir. Konselor (Guru BK) juga memiliki tugas untuk mengadakan dukungan sistem dan alih tangan kasus bagi siswa yang mengalami permasalahan, namun dalam pelaksanaanya juga masih banyak mengalami kendala, diantaranya (1) kurangnya penghargaan, (2) minimnya sarana prasarana, (3) tugas overload & bukan ranah BK, (4) pemerataan evaluasi, (5) senioritas, (6) BK adalah TPA (Tempat Pembuangan mAsalah), (7) kinerja konselor (guru BK) tidak maksimal, (8) tidak ada evaluasi, (9) sedikit literatur, (10) tidak empati.
